Lumbar Stenosis

About This Condition

Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the open spaces within the lumbar spinal column that create passageways for the spinal cord and nerves. This narrowing can cause the nerves to become compressed causing pain in the lower back. Stenosis can also occur in the cervical spine causing neck pain.
