Spondylosis

About This Condition

Spondylosis, otherwise known as spinal osteoarthritis, is a general term used to describe degeneration or wear-and-tear of the spine, rather than a clinical diagnosis. Structures of the spine that may be affected include discs, facet joints, bones and ligaments. Damage to any of these structures can lead to pain anywhere along the spine, arms and legs. Treatment is based on which structures are affected.
